Corn Silage Dry Harvest Management Resources
Proper corn silage harvest hinges on assessing whole plant moisture. Farmers, crop
consultants and other ag professionals should make corn plant moisture monitoring a priority to
identify the optimum time to harvest silage to maximize forage yield and quality.

The Fond du Lac County Forage Council, along with UW Madison Division of Extension, Eastern Wisconsin DHIC, Rock River Lab & Dairyland Labs are hosting several opportunities for growers to assess whole plant moisture.

Results are as follows with 14 samples submitted to Dairyland Laboratories, Depere for lab moisture analysis:
