  • A bi-weekly radio interview for farmers, agricultural industry persons, youth livestock, and youth dairy where they learned about extension agriculture-related resources, information, and timely webinars to help them to be connected and supported, and make better-informed decisions regarding their farm business operations or youth large animal project.
  • A dairy production and management newsletter for farmers, managers, employees, and agribusiness professionals, where subscribers learned about managing heat in pre-weaned calves and overstocking effects on cow performance. This effort was designed to provide a timely and reliable source of dairy management news and updates.
  • A factsheet for dairy farmers, managers, employees, and agribusiness professionals where they learned about heifer hoof health. This effort is designed to teach individuals how to find, treat, and monitor digital dermatitis in heifers as a way to reduce the incidence of digital dermatitis and lameness in the milk herd in order to maintain and/or increase economic viability.
  • A factsheet for dairy farmers, managers, employees, and agribusiness professionals, where they learned the importance of weighing heifers and how to incorporate scales into their facilities and management. The effort is designed to teach individuals the positive impact of heifer weight on first lactation so they can increase farm economic viability and milk production/income.
  • A twilight meeting for farmers, managers, employees, and agribusiness professionals, where they learned about employee management and developing a work culture. This effort is designed to help farmers improve the workplace environment to retain employees and improve economic viability.
  • Planning and developing a regional agriculture e-newsletter for owner/operators, farmers, herds managers and persons, employees, industry representatives, and agency personnel. The goal of this effort is to provide timely, relevant extension resources so they can increase their farm viability, environmental sustainability while maintaining animal welfare and food safety.
  • Planning for a bilingual dairy workers newsletter for on-farm dairy employees in collaboration with Language Access and Office of Access, Inclusion, and Compliance. The goal of this effort is provide a dairy resource to an underserved audience in order for them to gain new knowledge and best management practices to incorporate on the farm to help maintain and grow economic viability.
